Wayne Belcher OAM
Chief Executive

Wayne Belcher is passionate about the Aged Care industry and is an experienced Chief Executive in the sector.

Having entered aged care early in his career, Wayne has held roles including Chief Executive of Bethanie as well as Director and Interim Chief Executive of Baptistcare WA. In March 2017, he joined Braemar as Chief Executive to lead the organisation’s service delivery, growth and future development.

Wayne was awarded a Medallion of the Order of Australia in 2007 in recognition of his significant contribution to community services. This in part acknowledged his dedication to aged care as well as assistance he gave to the Howard Government in an advisory capacity.

Wayne holds postgraduate qualifications in Health Administration, Divinity and Ministry, and Business Law. He is also alumni at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania.

Wayne maintains an aged care blog at www.wlbelcher.com and is a regular contributor of aged care insights and knowledge in newspapers, aged care guides and conferences.


Kristy Ryan
Chief Financial Officer

Kristy graduated from Murdoch University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Professional Accounting before taking a role in Audit at Grant Thornton the following year.

Kristy became a Chartered Accountant in 2009, joining Braemar in 2015 as Financial Controller, a position she held until 2017 when she was promoted to the newly created role of General Manager Finance and Administration.

Kristy brings commercial experience from Energy, Oil and Gas, Logistics and Audit to the Braemar senior leadership team. Born in Southampton, England, Kristy grew up in Western Australia. Her interests include basketball, boating, RMS. Titanic and the Fremantle Dockers.


Lyn Cattell
Chief Operating Officer

Lyn joined Braemar in 2016 with experience in residential aged care, having worked in the sector in various roles for many years. Throughout this time, Lyn has held a number of senior management roles across Western Australian Residential aged care providers.

Lyn originally trained in England as a registered Mental Health Nurse before migrating to WA and undertaking a Bachelor of Applied Science in Nursing. Lyn graduated in the top 15% of students at Curtin University.

Lyn developed a passion for Aged care undertaking a number of clinical courses Continence Nurse Consultant, Dementia, Palliative, Wound care and Management and Leadership.

At Braemar, Lyn has held the position of Facility Manager for both Braemar Village and Braemar House and since September 2019 has held the title of Chief Operating Officer for Braemar Presbyterian Care.
