Braemar Cooinda offers a friendly and engaging lifestyle for each of our residents. Designed as a stylish residential facility, a dedicated team of professional staff provide quality services for up to 108 residents; each in a private room.

Our offering includes a 31 room specialist care service, designed to care for people with high support needs. All residents at Cooinda have access to courtyards, dining rooms, lounge areas, activities rooms and a shared TV room.

Residents’ rooms are finished in a modern style, while large windows let in lots of natural light. All rooms come with a comfortable bed, window dressings, a robe, shelving space and a seating area for residents and visitors to enjoy.

All rooms feature spacious ensuite bathrooms specially designed to allow access for those with specialised care needs.

Braemar Cooinda is staffed 24/7 by a team of friendly and dedicated aged care professionals.

Self Management

Our Relationship Centred Care philosophy respects the wishes, goals and desires of our residents and their families. We have various programmes in place to ensure that residents can remain in control of their lifestyle and care throughout their time at Braemar. Whenever our residents are able to manage themselves safely, and wish to do so, we believe in helping assisting them to achieve their goals. Our team of nurses, carers, OTs and Physios are on hand to help assess residents needs, wants and abilities.

We have a variety of services available to help residents remain engaged in their own lives. Each new resident and their families are invited to participate in a 1:1 consultation relating to their care needs and care goals while they are at Braemar. We provide an arrival checklist and handbook to help residents remain comfortable and in control of the admissions process and settle into their new life at Braemar. Additionally, we undertake a series of assessments to determine what self-care residents can participate in. These include self-medication, mobility, accessibility and activities.

Our activities team regularly engages with our residents in the creation of activities and events as part of our enrichment programme, and we provide access to an array of feedback services including verbal feedback, paper forms, electronic feedback terminals and Your Call services.
